Barbie Dollhouse and 1:6 Scale Lamps

I’ve been playing with a Barbie dollhouse lamps a little bit. Years ago (okay a decade or two but who’s counting) this is what the designed looked like – sturdy enough for kid’s play but not very elegant. With some paint and some fabric it does turn out pretty nice. And it’s solid wood so it’s child-destruction tested.

I did some commissioned work for a few folks and got pretty creative with using wood and paper. Here's one of my favorite designs using gold embossed paper with wood infrastructure.

Turns out, my husband is quite the lathe master and began turning lamps for the business. He makes them out of Oak, Birch, and Walnut. We now include the following lamp with our Living Room Set. And the best part - you can paint it any color you want.
